1. Dr Van Kuren came to visit and guide the chapter on how to approach the commander and also stimulate interest in the organization.

2. Billye has sent the legal papers to the JAG - awaiting approval.

3. Professional Development
   • SMS classes are scheduled to begin in Jan 99, Mon and Wed - the response are slow. Raelynn will send out another notification.

   • AMS classes are scheduled to begin 19 Jan 99, Tue and Thur. Bill is working this.

   • CMP will also start in Jan 99.

4. Need to work on the R-1 paperwork and look at nominating someone within the chapter for the Golden Knight Award.

5. Program Committee
   • Master Plan Program: The continuation of this program was again well received by a nice blend of people. Again this could have gone on to another program but it was decided to let it rest for a period of time and come back again.

   • December's program will be on the National Conference on 15 Dec presented by Kent Bierley in the auditorium.

   • Scheduling programs are going to hard due to the unavailability of the auditorium during remodeling.

6. American Enterprise
   • Operation Christmas Child received 22 boxes and $110. It was decided we would continue to support this organization and we will put information out again before CFC begins. A electronic message was sent to the building via the exec and announcement board

   • Kent, Rae, Billye and Mark participated in the bell ringing for the Salvation Army on 12 Dec. We raised $171 for half the day.

   • Speech Contest: 36 letters have been sent to area schools. Still looking for a place to have the contest.

   • Publicity: Kent sent press release out regarding Fulter Hong's win. He also sent a copy to Congressman Hobson's office. Unfortunately, the Skywriter will not print the article because they say it is dated.

7. Brief the commander will be done the lst two weeks of Jan 99.
