VAN KUREN CHAPTER OFFICER, CHAIRPERSON,

and EXECUTIVE ADVISOR MEETING MINUTES

30 March 1998


Attendance: Raelynn Bryan, Nancy Burns, Bill Bartlett, Billye Geisinger, Kent Bierley, Joe Horine

  1. Wright Chapter Conference: Was fantastic. Came back with some good ideas and will try to implement them to build a stronger and more effective team. I have tapes of the sessions, reading materials, and notes. If anyone in the membership is interested get in touch with me.

  2. CMC: Kent and Nancy will be attending. They will work out the travel details. Remember to keep all financial records so we can justify a budget using NAIC funds.

  3. Mission Statement: the chapter needs to establish a mission statement. The officers were asked to brainstorm and have ideas for the next meeting.

  4. SMS Classes are on hold. AMS classes are finishing.

  5. Passed out the information for nominations for national awards. Paper work is due to headquarters by 15 Apr 98. Also need to start working on the Mamager of the Year package. Selection will be made in May and presentation of the award at the Jun Luncheon.

  6. CTFO schedule was handed out. CTFO is moving along. More details to follow.

  7. April's Program will Bob Lovegren on "Journey to Genius" and still looking at scheduling a tour of headquarters.

  8. Speech Contest Fulter Hong won and will continue on to Buckeye Council. The contestants consisted of 1 from Vandalia, 2 from Beavercreek, and 1 from Kettering. Asked Kent for approximate travel budget by 31 Mar 98.

  9. Special Olympics Track and Field will be 25 Apr. Get in touch with Ed Bogden.

  10. Restructuring Van Kuren Chap of NMA has begun involving Executive Advisors, officers, and board members.

  11. Next meeting is 21 Apr 98 at 1300 in PO Conf Rm.
