VAN KUREN CHAPTER OFFICER, CHAIRPERSON,

and EXECUTIVE ADVISOR MEETING MINUTES

Attendance: Raelynn Bryan, Nancy Burns, Bill Bartlett, Billye Geisinger, Kent Bierley, Larry Benson (Exec Advisor)

Executive Advisors Comments: The chapter needs to foster a program for CC so he can support. CC needs to see a benefit to the organization. Need to have CC understand what NMA is all about - Bill Bartlett and Mr Benson are the logical representatives. Because CTFO is active and gaining attention and the upcoming program about Landmark Forum, we can take advantage to be able to gain some publicity. The chapter needs to work on getting Phil Lathrop on board as a supporter.
We need to ask for a pot of money for conferences, etc. from the organization like FWP gets with a justification.
Wright Chapter Conference: Raelynn Bryan and Billye Geisinger will attend.
February's Monthly Meeting was to be about Lifelong Learning by Bob Lovegreen, but due to a family emergency, it was postponed. Billye valiantly tried to find a replacement at short notice, but could not.
March Monthly Meeting: Will be Landmark Forum. CC is already planning on attending and have heard most 2lts will be attending. Billye is putting together packages to pass out to each 2lt, CC, and Wright Chapter. Looking forward to this program.
Speech Contest: There are three, possible four contestants. We will concentrate on getting more visibility to area high schools. Wright/Van Kuren Chapter cotest is scheduled for 14 March 1998, and Buckeye Council is 2 April 1998.
Special Olympics Bowling: Mr Fargnoli and Kent Bierley volunteered on Feb 7th.
Next meeting will be 17 March 98 in PO Conf Rm at 1300-1400.
