Chapter Officers & Chairperson Meeting Minutes - 18 March 1997

1. The Chapter Officers & Chairpersons met at 1400 on Tuesday, 18 March, 1997.
2. Monthly Program Status: Billye is working on obtaining speakers months in advance. Agenda for monthly speakers thus far is: Mar -- Certified Managers Program, Apr -- Effective Communication, May -- CC Program. Looking at hiring Patricia Welling which we heard at the Wright Chapter Conference. Money is the question at this time. Col Dumm will be speaking to the Chapter but the subject is yet to be determined.
3. Legality of the Chapter: We now know what needs to be accomplished for purposes of operating on an Air Force Base. However, we want to be consistent with the established plan that Wright Chapter uses. Sharon from Wright Chapter is going to provide this information to us.
4. Status of College Credit for SMS and AMS Courses: This is still being reviewed. We are getting further information from the Wright Chapter on what has worked for them (tried and true is usually better).
5. Wright chapter Conference: The conference was very enlightening. The subject was "Higher Creativity" and was innovative. The Wright Chapter did an excellent job. While Billye and Raelynn were at the conference, they were able to network with Wright Chapter members and are working with them to do some joint projects and also information as to setting up our own conference in the future.
6. Status of Fundraising: That is still being looked at. One idea is having a day conference.
7. Status of Funding for CMC and National: Billye and Raelynn are going to speak with the Vice Commander, Col Daniel.
8. March of Dimes: Raelynn will call for information.
9. Status of Current SMS and AMS Classes: Both classes are finishing up their series. Having a problem with SMS participants showing up for classes, paying fees, and turning in pre/post test. Due to the lack of interest on the participants part, it is becoming increasingly difficult to bring in and keep facilitators. Looking at methods in which to motivate the participators to make the commitment to the classes.
10. Lifetime Certificate for Dick Frederick: Raelynn will get it signed and ensure it is mailed to him.
