Board of Directors Meeting Minutes - 11 Feb 1997

ATTENDEES:  TOM MULLINS (CHAIRPERSON),
            SHIRLEY HARRIS,
            MICHAEL BACHMAN,	
            KENT BIERLEY 

1. The NMA board met at 1400 on Tuesday, 11 Feb, 1997.
2. Shirley Harris continues to research the offerings of local colleges for presentations through their respective Speaker's Bureau for topics of interest to the Van Kuren Chapter and the NAIC workforce.
3. Tom Mullins suggested the possibility of having local contractors speak on Contract Management.
4. The Board of Directors needs a status report on the "name change contest" for the Chapter Newsletter.
5. Tom Mullins encouraged all Board members to participate in the upcoming Wright Chapter Seminar at Hope Hotel, 13-14 March. Submit a DD Form 1556 to the NAIC training office .
6. Kent Bierley reported the Christmas bell ringing for the Salvation Army netted $275.00 thanks to the efforts of Billye Geisinger, Kent Bierley, Joe Horine, Nancy Burns.
7. Kent Bierley reported the following items:
   1. 15 March - Joint Wright Chapter/Van Kuren Chapter High School Speech Contest.
   2. 20 March - Buckeye Council Speech Contest
8. All Board of Directors are asked to look at the Chapter Goals and Objectives and prepare for discussion at board meeting.
9. Meeting adjouned at 1445 hours.
