The highlights of this report are:
  • Henslow's Sparrow
  • Blue Grosbeak
  • Red-headed Woodpecker
  • Bobolink

On May 16th, seen at Germantown MetroPark were Henslow's Sparrow, Willow Flycatcher, Bobolink, Eastern Meadowlark, and Eastern Kingbird. They were seen in the grassland across the road from the Goldfinch picnic shelter off Boomershine Rd.

On May 16th at Brukner Nature Center, observed were Acadian Flycatcher, Hooded Warbler, Yellow-billed Cuckoo, and Bay-breasted Warbler.

On May 15th, seen at Englewood MetroPark were a large number of Cedar Waxwings, as well as Yellow-billed Cuckoo, Prothonotary Warbler, Warbling and Red-eyed Vireo, and Eastern Bluebird.

Observed May 14th on private property near Brookeville was a Red-headed Woodpecker.

Baby Great Horned Owls were seen on the nest at Eastwood MetroPark on May 13th.

Blue Grosbeak was seen at Englewood MetroPark north park on May 11th.

On May 11th, a Red-headed Woodpecker was seen at Woodland Cemetery.
