The highlights of this report are:

Large numbers and types of waterfowl continue to be seen through the Miami Valley.
Seen at Big Island Wildlife Area on March 17th were Great Egret, Tundra Swan, Bald Eagle, Rough-legged Hawk, Wilson's Snipe, Rusty Blackbird, and many waterfowl.
On March 17th, large numbers of Tundra Swan were seen at Killdeer Plains, as well as Short-eared Owl, Sandhill Crane, and many Blue-winged Teal.
On March 17th, observed at Aullwood Gardens were Eastern Phoebe, Eastern Towhee, Eastern Bluebird, and Carolina Wren, while an Eastern Phoebe was also seen at Hills & Dales MetroPark.
On March 17th, seen at Englewood MetroPark north park were Eastern Meadowlark, Hooded Merganser, Common Goldeneye, Lesser and Greater Scaup, Bufflehead and Common Loon. (The Common Loon was seen on the pond opposite the park).
Observed on March 16th at C.J. Brown Reservoir were 16 species of ducks, including White-winged Scoter as well as Greater White-fronted Goose.
